Hair Bows

Hair Bows

Hair bows can be sold separately. Any ribbon seen on flip flops can be made into matching hair bows. Also any hair bow ribbon can be used on flip flops.

So I decided to make flip flops as birthday gifts for the daughters of two of my friends. The first pair had to be made for the friend who set my wheels turning. Since Ava is the ultimate zebra-print fan, I had to make her these. Oh, and I took Julia's advice and made sure they were PINK!

And of course, if Kirsten has a pair, then so must Little Miss Julia. Like many other three year-old girls, Julia's LOVES are princesses and pink. So my second pair were made especially for her.

It's just too bad that she refuses to wear them because in her words, "black is NOT pink!"

Photography. Scrapbooking. Baking. Cross stitch. Let's just say I enjoy crafting!
And flip flops, among other things, are my latest crafting craze.

It all started with a gorgeous hair bow my older daughter, Kirsten received from a good friend. I just adored it! And like any crafty person, I figured I could make more myself.

So that is where this quest began. With an idea to make some hair bows for my two little girls...
BUT when Kirsten, at the wise old age of four, decided she wanted to cut her hair really short, those fabulous ribbons and bows ended up sitting in her drawer. Which led me to a new endeavor, coming up with something to do with all those bows.

And somehow I arrived at flip flops. We had all those cut flip flops with flowers and jewels. Why not ribbons and bows? And so I made a pair for her with big blue polka dots!
